Details

A journal that preserves useful context

EpiTrail records and organizes information entered by the user. It does not detect seizures, monitor health, predict episodes, identify causes, or recommend treatment.

01

Record date and time, seizure type, level of awareness, movements or convulsions with body area and side, aura, and duration.

02

Add circumstances before an episode: sleep, stress, fatigue, medication timing, illness, fever, alcohol, and an optional menstrual-cycle field.

03

Note recovery symptoms and time, injury, rescue medicine, emergency calls, and a witness account.

04

Review history and annual statistics: a 12-month table of entry count, most frequently recorded type, and time period, with optional user-selected dimensions.

05

Create complete backups encrypted with an 8-digit PIN, then restore or merge them on another iPhone or iPad.

06

Export the journal and statistics as localized CSV or PDF reports, and create automatic email backups through your own Apple Shortcuts automation. The interface is available in English, German, and Polish.

07

Use the widget as a private shortcut to a new entry. It never reads or displays health information.

A journal, not a diagnostic system

EpiTrail records and organizes information entered by the user. It does not detect seizures, monitor health, predict episodes, identify causes, or recommend treatment.

  • Summaries reflect only what was recorded in the journal and do not establish causation.
  • The app does not verify seizure classification or the accuracy of user-entered information.
  • Discuss diagnosis, medication, safety planning, and treatment changes with a qualified healthcare professional.
